Doriane Pin takes her first laps on the Monaco E-Prix circuit

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

French driver Doriane Pin, 22, completed her first laps around the Principality's streets this weekend as a Citroën development driver in Formula E.

Doriane Pin made her debut on the Monaco circuit this weekend, joining the Formula E paddock for the Monaco E-Prix in her role as a Citroën development driver. The 22-year-old Frenchwoman, already one of the most talked-about young talents in single-seater racing, was on hand throughout the weekend to support the team rather than compete, but the experience of driving the circuit for the first time was clearly significant to her.

Pin has made no secret of her ambition to race here in an official capacity. The Monaco circuit holds a particular place in her plans, and this weekend gave her a first, meaningful look at what that challenge involves. Whether that return comes in Formula E or another championship remains to be seen, but her presence in the Principality this May marks a clear step in a career that has been building steadily since her junior formula days.
