Crovetto declares candidacy for Monaco mayor in 2027

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Marjorie Crovetto, currently the Commune's second deputy mayor, has announced she will lead the 'L'Evolution Communale' list at the April 2027 municipal elections.

Marjorie Crovetto confirmed on Monday 29 June that she will stand as a candidate for mayor of Monaco at next year's municipal elections, making the announcement live on Monaco Info's evening news bulletin. She will head the list under the banner 'L'Evolution Communale'.

Crovetto currently serves as second deputy to incumbent mayor Georges Marsan, giving her significant experience of day-to-day Communal governance. Her decision to run in her own right sets up what promises to be a closely watched contest for the Mairie de Monaco in April 2027.

The announcement comes with nearly ten months still to run before campaigning formally gets under way, suggesting Crovetto is moving early to build name recognition and define her platform ahead of what is likely to be a competitive field.
