David Coulthard completed the first public run of Formula E's next-generation GEN4 single-seater on the Monaco E-Prix circuit on Sunday 17 May.
On the margins of the Monaco E-Prix, David Coulthard took the wheel of Formula E's GEN4 prototype for its first run in front of a live crowd, completing demonstration laps on the Principality's street circuit. The Scottish former Formula 1 driver described the experience as unlike anything he had driven before, saying it left him speechless.
The GEN4 is set to replace the current car when the Formula E World Championship enters its 2026-27 season. Sunday's demonstration gave Monaco spectators an early look at the machine that will define the next chapter of electric single-seater racing, with the Principality providing a fitting stage for the unveiling given its long association with the series.
