Monaco welcomed its new Minister of State on Monday 21st July, as 64-year-old Christophe Mirmand officially assumed his role at the helm of the Principality's government.

Mirmand brings extensive experience from the French administration, having built his career within the prefectoral system since joining in 1988. His steady rise through the ranks has given him comprehensive knowledge of territorial and institutional matters, particularly in southern France, which positions him well for his new responsibilities in Monaco.

As Minister of State, Mirmand serves as the head of government under Prince Albert II's sovereignty, overseeing the day-to-day administration of the Principality and implementing government policy across all departments.
