Place du Casino and Avenue de Monte-Carlo will be shut to traffic from 05:00 to 18:00 on 29 September for a major television production.
Place du Casino and Avenue de Monte-Carlo will be closed to vehicles from 05:00 to 18:00 on Monday 29 September, with the Journal de Monaco confirming that a television series has secured permission to film across the heart of Monte-Carlo for the day. The restrictions will affect one of the Principality's busiest junctions, and residents, visitors and drivers should plan alternative routes well in advance.
The production in question is widely reported to be the fourth season of The White Lotus, the HBO anthology series, which would make Monaco a prominent location in what has become one of television's most-watched properties. No official confirmation of the series title has been published in the Journal de Monaco notice, which sets out only the traffic management arrangements.
Anyone with appointments, deliveries or parking arrangements around the Casino district on that date should expect the closures to be in force for the full 13-hour window. The Société des Bains de Mer complex and surrounding streets are likely to see elevated production activity throughout the morning and into the afternoon.
