Mohamed Camara marked what may be his final AS Monaco appearance with a stunning double in a 5-4 defeat at Strasbourg.
Mohamed Camara gave Monaco supporters something to remember him by on Sunday, scoring twice in a dramatic 5-4 defeat away at Strasbourg - the first brace of his top-flight career and, if summer plans hold, his farewell in red and white.
The Senegal international has been widely expected to leave the Principality club this summer, and his performance at Strasbourg offered a bittersweet send-off. Despite the goals, Monaco could not hold on, surrendering a result that will sting as the season draws to a close.
Camara joined Monaco in 2022 and has grown into one of the more composed midfield presences in Ligue 1, attracting interest from clubs across Europe. Whether Sunday proves to be his last in a Monaco shirt, his timing - a match-high contribution in a five-goal defeat - was at least memorable.
