A mid-morning pipe failure at a construction site above the train station left several homes without running water on 31 March.

Several homes across parts of Monaco were left without running water on Tuesday 31 March following a burst pipe near the Sainte-Dévote area. The incident occurred mid-morning at a construction site above the train station, prompting a rapid response from the local water authority.

Although traffic in the area was briefly affected, services were restored within a matter of hours. The disruption highlighted the challenges posed by Monaco's ongoing construction activity, where major development works operate in close proximity to existing infrastructure.

The water authority confirmed that the pipe failure was isolated to the construction zone and that no lasting damage to the wider network was sustained.
