Anna Nasobina, 46, is the woman who lost both legs in Monday night's explosion at the Sun's Palace apartment block on the rue Révérend-Père-Louis-Frolla. Nasobina is the long-term partner of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev, clarifying earlier reports that had misidentified her as his wife. Ermolaev's wife has since confirmed she was not present at the scene.
Nasobina remains in intensive care following the blast. The Sun's Palace building, in the Larvotto district, is one of Monaco's better-known residential addresses, and the incident has prompted significant concern among residents and property owners in the area. Authorities have not yet issued a public statement on the cause of the explosion.
