Boéri re-elected to lead Automobile Club de Monaco

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Michel Boéri has been re-elected president of the Automobile Club de Monaco for a fifth consecutive five-year term, describing his victory with characteristic humour.

The newly elected board of the Automobile Club de Monaco confirmed Michel Boéri as president for another five-year term on Wednesday evening, in a vote held at the Sporting Monte-Carlo. Boéri has led the club since 1972, making this latest mandate a continuation of one of the longest-running leaderships in Monaco's institutional life.

Speaking to Monaco Info following his re-election, Boéri reflected on the vote with characteristic wit, remarking that when you don't know how to nail down a coffin, the corpse gets out. His comment appeared to reference internal club tensions, suggesting he took satisfaction in outmanoeuvring rivals during the election process.

The Automobile Club de Monaco organises the Monaco Grand Prix and the Rallye Monte-Carlo, two fixtures that shape the Principality's calendar and its international profile each year. For residents and businesses tied to the Grand Prix weekend, from hospitality operators to the harbour authorities managing yacht moorings, continuity at the top of the ACM signals steady planning for upcoming editions.
