ASM Basketball faces Dijon with skeleton squad as Mike James returns from US

The league leaders welcome Dijon with just eight professional players available due to injuries, though star guard Mike James has returned to Monaco.

AS Monaco Basketball will host JDA Dijon at the Gaston Médecin Sports Hall this afternoon with a severely depleted roster, fielding only eight professional players for the Betclic Elite encounter.

The Roca Team's squad has been further weakened by Nemanja Nedovic's injury, leaving head coach Vassilis Spanoulis with limited options as his side looks to maintain their position at the top of the French championship standings.

However, there's positive news on the horizon for Monaco supporters. Star point guard Mike James returned to the Principality on Saturday morning following his stint in the United States, raising hopes that the experienced playmaker could soon bolster the team's ranks.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Monaco will be confident of extending their strong run of form when they take on Dijon at 4:30pm, with their league-leading status testament to the squad's resilience throughout a challenging campaign.
