AS Monaco Volley began their campaign with victory against Bordeaux, a result coach Felipe Lacerda sees as the foundation for a squad still finding its rhythm.
AS Monaco Volley got their season under way with a win over Bordeaux, the first test for a squad coach Felipe Lacerda is still shaping into a settled unit. The result gives the club an early marker as they look to build consistency across the coming months.
Lacerda has been clear that the victory matters less for the scoreline than for what it tells him about his group's cohesion. With several combinations still being tested on court, he wants to use the opening weeks of the season to establish patterns of play before the squad faces tougher opposition.
For supporters following the club from the Salle Gaston Médecin, the message from the coaching staff is one of patience. The ambition at AS Monaco Volley extends beyond a single result, with Lacerda framing this win as the first step in a longer project to grow a competitive and settled team over the season.
