AS Monaco held 1-1 by Lille at Stade Louis-II

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

AS Monaco dropped two points at home against Lille, fighting back from behind to draw 1-1 in Ligue 1's eighth round.

AS Monaco were unable to find a winner against Lille on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Louis-II, settling for a 1-1 draw in the eighth round of Ligue 1. The result follows a 1-0 defeat away at Lorient in the club's previous league outing, extending a run without a win for the Rouge et Blanc.

Lamine Camara and his teammates found themselves behind before clawing their way back into the match, but despite the equaliser they could not find a second goal to take all three points. For a side with ambitions of competing near the top of the table, dropping points at home against Lille will be seen as a missed opportunity rather than a result to build on.

The draw leaves AS Monaco to regroup before their next fixture, with questions over consistency likely to dominate discussion among supporters in the principality this week.
