AS Monaco Face Nancy for First Time in Over Five Years at Stade Louis-II

The Red and Whites welcomed Nancy back to Ligue 1 action at home, marking their first meeting since March 2011.

The Principality club hosted Nancy at Stade Louis-II on Saturday evening, bringing together two sides who hadn't crossed paths in France's top flight for more than half a decade.

Historically, these encounters have heavily favoured the home team. In their previous 19 Ligue 1 meetings, Monaco suffered just two defeats against the Lorraine-based club. Those rare losses came in October 2007 with a 3-1 reverse, and again in March 2011 when Nancy secured a narrow 1-0 victory.

The Red and Whites' dominant record against Nancy includes 12 wins and five draws across those encounters, underlining their superiority in this particular fixture. Saturday's match represented Nancy's return to elite French football after their absence from Ligue 1.
