AS Monaco complete Matthis Abline signing from Nantes

AS Monaco have officially confirmed the signing of striker Matthis Abline from FC Nantes on a five-year contract for €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

AS Monaco have completed the signing of 23-year-old striker Matthis Abline from FC Nantes, with the deal officially confirmed on Thursday 30 July. The French youth international has agreed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, with the transfer fee set at €25 million plus up to €5 million in performance-related add-ons.

Abline finished last season as one of Nantes' most consistent attacking threats, and Monaco's recruitment team identified him as a profile that fits both their playing style and financial model. The signing represents a strategic investment in a younger player with sell-on potential rather than an established star.

The move comes as Monaco continues to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign, whilst operating within tight wage-bill constraints and their financial fair play obligations.
