Artist auctions Monaco GP Renault to fund lone-parent holidays

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Artist Lita Chow Yuen is selling a customised Renault Celtaquatre at auction during the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix to raise money for single-parent family holidays.

A Renault Celtaquatre is being transformed into a rolling work of art by Monaco-based artist Lita Chow Yuen, who plans to put the car under the hammer during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend. The proceeds will go directly towards funding holidays for single-parent families.

Chow Yuen is treating the vintage Renault as an artistic canvas rather than a classic vehicle, with the auction timed to coincide with one of the Principality's highest-profile weekends and the concentration of wealthy visitors it draws to the waterfront.

The initiative adds a charitable dimension to the Grand Prix calendar, which already attracts significant philanthropic activity alongside the racing. For residents and visitors with an eye on both the art market and the Monaco GP, the sale offers an unusual opportunity to combine the two.
