Anti-Ageing Congress Leaves Monaco for Cannes Over Hotel Capacity

The long-running anti-ageing salon, a Monaco fixture for over twenty years, will move to Cannes in 2027 after organisers cited insufficient hotel capacity in the Principality.
After more than two decades as one of the Grimaldi Forum's flagship international gatherings, the anti-ageing salon is leaving Monaco for the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Organisers confirmed the move is driven by a straightforward shortage of hotel rooms in the Principality, which can no longer absorb the scale the event now requires.
The Grimaldi Forum's director-general acknowledged the situation openly, noting that Monaco simply cannot offer what a growing congress demands. It is a candid admission from the venue itself, and one that will resonate with conference planners who have quietly raised the same concern for years.
The departure is a real loss for Monaco's business tourism economy. The anti-ageing sector draws high-spending medical professionals, researchers and commercial exhibitors, exactly the delegate profile the Principality competes hard to attract. Whether the government or the Monaco Convention Bureau will respond with concrete measures to address hotel supply in the medium term remains to be seen.
