Andorra delegation visits Monaco for health cooperation talks

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

A high-level Andorran delegation held working talks in Monaco this week to deepen health cooperation between the two principalities.

A senior delegation from Andorra visited Monaco this week for talks focused on health cooperation, continuing a dialogue that has built up over several international meetings between the two countries' health ministers, including contacts through the World Health Organisation.

The visit follows a trip to Monaco in March by Xavier Espot Zamora, Andorra's Head of Government, during which cooperation between the two principalities was first discussed in detail. Officials from both sides used this latest meeting to take stock of that dialogue and identify areas where the two small states, each with populations and healthcare systems of a comparable scale, can share expertise and resources.

For residents, the talks signal continued diplomatic engagement between Monaco and Andorra on practical matters affecting public health provision, an area where both principalities face similar challenges due to their size and international patient base. No specific agreements or timelines were announced following this working visit.
