Alléno and Ruggieri reunite for four-hands dinner at L'Abysse

Yannick Alléno hosted Italian chef Martino Ruggieri at L'Abysse Monte-Carlo on 19 September as part of the Festival des Étoilés Monte-Carlo.
L'Abysse Monte-Carlo, the seafood restaurant inside the Hôtel Hermitage, was the setting on Saturday 19 September for a four-hands dinner that brought together two chefs with a shared professional history. Yannick Alléno, who heads the kitchen at L'Abysse, welcomed Martino Ruggieri for a collaborative dinner that formed part of the Festival des Étoilés Monte-Carlo.
Ruggieri, who built his reputation in Italian fine dining, previously worked alongside Alléno, giving the evening a personal dimension beyond the usual guest-chef format. The pairing placed two distinct culinary sensibilities at a single pass, with Alléno's French technique meeting Ruggieri's Italian roots in a menu centred on the sea.
The Festival des Étoilés Monte-Carlo has established itself as one of the Principality's most closely followed culinary events, drawing Michelin-recognised chefs to collaborate with Monaco's resident kitchens across a series of special evenings each autumn.
