907 medals awarded at Monaco's Fête des Sports 2026

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Mairie de Monaco honoured 907 amateur athletes at the annual Fête des Sports ceremony, held across two days in the Cour d'Honneur on 9 and 10 June 2026.

The Cour d'Honneur of the Mairie de Monaco was the setting this week for the 2026 Fête des Sports, the annual ceremony that recognises amateur athletes who have distinguished themselves during the 2025-2026 season. Spread across two days on 9 and 10 June, the event saw 907 medals presented to competitors acknowledged for performances at regional, national and international level.

The ceremony is one of the Principality's most enduring sporting traditions, reflecting Monaco's commitment to grassroots sport alongside its better-known professional clubs and events. For the hundreds of residents and club members receiving recognition, the setting inside the Mairie's ceremonial courtyard gives the occasion a weight that goes well beyond a standard prize-giving.
