La Note Bleue
La Note Bleue is Monaco's most celebrated jazz beach club, perched on Plage du Larvotto and open from mid-April to mid-October each year. The venue takes its name as an homage to the great French saxophonist Barney Wilen, and music genuinely permeates every corner of the experience -- from the gentle afternoon sets that accompany lunch to the full live performances that take hold from 18:30 on Wednesday through Saturday evenings. The soundtrack spans jazz, soul, funk, disco, and Brazilian rhythms, performed by accomplished live musicians and DJs in an open-air setting where guests dine with feet in the sand beneath parasols, with the Mediterranean sparkling just metres away. The kitchen is led by Chef Laurent Paya, whose primarily Mediterranean menu carries creative and occasionally exotic touches -- risotto, Thai salads, and salmon ceviche are perennial bestsellers alongside a thoughtful wine and cocktail list. Breakfast is served from 9am, with the beach club and restaurant operating through to midnight in high season. The combination of exceptional food, nightly live music, a private beach, and panoramic sea views makes La Note Bleue one of the most complete and convivial venues in the Principality.
