Giacomo
Giacomo is the Monaco outpost of the Big Mamma restaurant group, opened on Larvotto beach as a tribute to the Principality by co-founder Tigrane Seydoux, a Monegasque native who named the restaurant after his father. Positioned directly on the waterfront, the trattoria draws its identity from the Amalfi Coast and the sun-bleached trattorias of southern Italy, with a menu crafted by chef Andrea Cozzolino that celebrates the produce of the sea and the flavours of Italian home cooking. Signature dishes include linguine alle vongole with Sardinian bottarga, octopus salad with Taggiasche olives, and wood-fired pizzas prepared in Neapolitan ovens installed right on the beachfront. The dining room captures the informal warmth of a 1970s family home by the water, with colourful tiles, rattan chairs, and a terrace where guests can watch the waves break against the shore. Big Mamma s hallmark of generous portions, attentive service, and convivial atmosphere translates naturally to the Monaco setting, drawing both local families and international visitors throughout the season. Giacomo is open for lunch and dinner daily.
