Monaco Commits Multi-Year Support to UN Gender Equality Initiative

The Principality signs two-year agreement with World Food Programme to advance women's empowerment and food security globally.

The Principality has formalised its commitment to gender equality in global humanitarian efforts through a fresh partnership with the World Food Programme. The new multi-year agreement will run through 2026 and 2027, building upon Monaco's previous support for initiatives that address structural inequalities in food security.

The collaboration focuses specifically on ensuring women and girls have equal access to nutrition programmes and food security measures. By targeting the root causes of gender-based disparities, the partnership aims to strengthen economic independence for women in vulnerable communities worldwide.

This latest commitment demonstrates Monaco's continued dedication to international development goals, particularly those addressing the intersection of gender equality and humanitarian assistance. The agreement represents a strategic investment in programmes that recognise women's critical role in achieving sustainable food security for families and communities.
