The Principality is once again at the centre of global maritime affairs as it hosts the 4th General Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) at the Auditorium Rainier III from April 20 to 23.

This prestigious gathering, held every three years, brings together the international hydrographic community to tackle the critical challenges facing ocean mapping and maritime safety in the 21st century. Representatives from governments and maritime authorities worldwide are convening to shape the future of how we understand and navigate our oceans.

Monaco's role as host reflects its longstanding commitment to oceanographic research and marine conservation, building on the legacy established by Prince Albert I, the 'Navigator Prince', who founded the world-renowned Oceanographic Museum over a century ago. The summit underscores the Principality's continued position as a hub for marine science and international cooperation.
