Schlumberger heiress takes legal action against fortune teller over alleged financial manipulation
Oil dynasty heiress Margaux Primat pursues criminal charges against clairvoyant who allegedly exploited her vulnerability for financial gain.
A member of one of France's most prominent industrial families has launched criminal proceedings against a fortune teller she claims exploited her emotional fragility for financial gain.
Margaux Primat, 37, belongs to the Schlumberger dynasty, the petroleum services empire established by her great-grandfather. The heiress has filed charges at Bourg-en-Bresse criminal court against Sahra M., a clairvoyant she alleges used psychological pressure tactics to extract substantial sums of money from her.
The case centres on accusations of manipulation and fraud, with Primat claiming the defendant took advantage of her vulnerable state to secure significant financial payments. The legal action also includes charges of defamation.
The proceedings highlight the particular risks faced by wealthy individuals who may become targets for those seeking to exploit their circumstances through claims of supernatural insight or spiritual guidance.
